Thies Mynther is  transdisciplinary artist whose work moves freely between music, theatre, film and visual art. Over more than three decades, he has developed a distinctive artistic vocabulary that combines composition, songwriting, sound design, dramaturgy and imagemaking. His projects focus on the relationships between sound and narrative, on shifting identities, and on the poetic and political dimensions of contemporary culture.

Mynther’s works often inhabit hybrid spaces: animated musicals that merge music and drawing; performances that treat instruments as sculptural objects; theatre productions shaped by musical dramaturgy; and installations that turn sound into architectural presence. Across all these fields, his practice is guided by curiosity, collaboration and an ongoing exploration of the emotional and structural possibilities of music.
